Alikhan Beisekov, a trainee with the opera company of the Abai Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theatre, became a laureate of the international BraVo Prize.
On April 14, the Historic Stage of the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow hosted the 8th BraVo International Professional Music Awards ceremony. Each year, this event brings together leading figures of classical art from across Eurasia and the Middle East.
This year, among the winners was a representative of the Abai Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theatre. A trainee with our opera company, tenor Alikhan Beisekov, received the honorary award in the category “Performer of the Year from a Partner Country.”
Alikhan is a student of the class of Murat Shalabayev, Honoured Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan and a leading soloist of our theatre. Such high international recognition of the young singer’s talent highlights the exceptional standard of professional training at the Abai Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theatre and the continuity of the finest traditions of vocal artistry.
Artists from 11 countries took part in the ceremony, including Russia, Brazil, China, the UAE, South Africa, and others. The victory of our trainee on such a renowned stage is a significant contribution to strengthening Kazakhstan’s international cultural image.
The theatre company warmly congratulates Alikhan Beisekov and his mentor Murat Shalabayev on this triumph. We wish the young artist a brilliant creative journey and many more major achievements ahead.
