“Halyq Äueni” Brought Hearts Together in Kerbulak

On May 21, the first concerts of the large-scale cultural project “Halyq Äueni”, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the sponsorship support of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan, began simultaneously in 17 regions of the country.

One of the highlights of the project was the performance by the Camerata Kazakhstan State Ensemble and artists of the Abay Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theatre at the Abiken Sarybayev Kerbulak District House of Culture. The evening became a celebration of high art and a profound sense of spiritual unity.

For the Camerata Kazakhstan ensemble and the artists of the Abay Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theatre, touring across the country has long been an important part of their creative work. The companies have performed many times in different parts of Kazakhstan, yet visiting small district centres as part of the “Halyq Äueni” project became a particularly meaningful experience. Such encounters make it possible to feel a renewed closeness with the audience, to witness the sincere response of listeners, and to be reminded once again of how important live music is for people.

From the very first moments of the artists’ stay in the Kerbulak District, a special atmosphere of hospitality and sincere respect could be felt. The organizers and residents of the district welcomed the companies with great warmth, surrounding them with attention and care. All necessary conditions were created for the artists’ comfortable stay and preparation for the concert, while the event itself was organized with genuine Kazakh hospitality and attention to every detail.

The hall of the district House of Culture was filled with a warm and inspiring atmosphere. The audience greeted the artists with long applause, receiving each piece with sincere interest and gratitude. That evening, the stage became a space for a special emotional dialogue between the artists and the public.

The brightest works from the performers’ repertoire were specially selected for the concert: folk songs in remarkable arrangements, arias from legendary operas, and works by beloved composers. A particularly memorable moment of the evening was the way the audience quite literally became part of the concert: the hall gladly sang along to pieces familiar from childhood and close to the heart. The audience gave an especially warm reception to “Toi Bastar” from the opera Abai, as well as to the beloved songs of Shamshi Kaldayakov, which united the entire hall in a shared musical mood.

Each performance sounded heartfelt and sincere, filling the space with the living energy of music and deep emotion. The artists, in turn, generously shared their mastery, warmth, and inspiration with the audience.

On this special day for all cultural and artistic workers, the artists of the Abay Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theatre were pleased to share music with the audience: Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan Nurzhan Bazhekenov; opera soloists Aidos Zhabagin, Nurgalym Amanbay, Alikhan Beisekov, Shyngys Nurgaliuly, Dilyara Duisekeyeva, Aziza Abdreim, Aidana Satybayeva, and Bekzat Abitov; as well as the artists of the Camerata Kazakhstan State Classical Music Ensemble under the artistic direction of People’s Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gaukhar Myrzabekova.

That evening, music brought people together, creating a feeling of closeness, pride in national culture, and love for art.

The “Halyq Äueni” project continues its journey through the regions of Kazakhstan, giving residents the opportunity to experience high art and reminding us once again that music truly has the power to unite hearts.
